I have found all the menu items easy to understand for a beginner (although I’m a beginner who has taken some time to learn!) I have enjoyed the controls which I find easy to use in aperture priority or shutter speed priority, but shooting in full manual is a little more tricky. Overall highly recommend.

The No Flash setting takes brilliant pictures with natural light indoors or out. Spectacular!! As the previous reviewer stated there is so much functionality that you will spend weeks comprehending all the information. I strongly recommend that you buy the Sony 32g class 10 memory. You don’t want your memory to be the bottle neck slowing up the camera. Give the camera room to breath, so to speak. Awesome camera, you won’t be sorry. Also comsumer reports rated the 60D number 1, that helps.

Pros: Excellent colors, saturation, brightness, contrast, etc. Great for gaming…I have not noticed any ghosting playing Skyrim and others. Very easy to read text and it’s “easy on the eyes” as opposed to many other monitors I have tried. OSD is good and easy to navigate. Display was easy to calibrate and took about 10 minutes and I haven’t messed with the OSD since. With the other monitors I futzed around with the settings for days to try and get it looking right.

Cons: Only 1 year warranty, stand is a bit light lacks anything beyond basic adjustments. Some backlight bleed on 100% dark scenes (I don’t even notice this anymore as it is very minimal, but it does exist if that sort of thing bugs you).

Other Thoughts: I wish they would beef up the features and warranty on these units even if they would cost a bit more. Adding a displayport would also be huge plus as well.

The Samsung monitor comes with a unique design but smaller size and less contrast (5,000,000)
The ViewSonic Comes with bigger size and more contrast (20,000,000) with speakers ! but it is more expensive.

However somehow it felt in ViewSonic i am paying for features BUT in samsung it felt that i am paying more for the brand name it self.

So i have decided to buy the ViewSonic & WOW it is GREAT !! As the other reviewer said horrible sound YES but who cares ?! I’m buying The Monitor Not the speakers…

I would really recommend this monitor & I will update the review when i test the 3D feature.

I’m not marking down the score because of these problems since the overall picture quality is beautiful despite the light bleeding. I haven’t messed with the 3D part of the monitor yet but the 120Hz refresh rate is amazing. I’ve been playing games on a 60Hz monitor for awhile now and I had no idea how much of a difference 120Hz can make to the overall look of a game. I was a little worried everything was going to have a soap opera effect like 120Hz TVs but I was pleasantly surprised the picture doesn’t look like that. Everything is smooth but not unnatural looking and games seem to run better because your computer doesn’t need to restrict the FPS to match your refresh rate (VSYNC) or render more frames then your monitor can show (No screen tearing)

If you are buying this for gaming make sure you have a powerful enough setup to run games at 60FPS and higher. I have two EVGA 570′s in SLI and it makes them work extremely hard to render the extra frame-rates and the temperature of my cards is a lot higher then running everything at 60.1 fps with VSync enabled.

Overall the monitor is a beauty and well worth the price tag if you can manage to get one without defects in the screen. Make sure you buy it from Amazon so you don’t have any issues doing an exchange over and over. I will continue to exchange them till I get one without light bleed and I suggest you do the same.
